November 2026: SFLCV Endorses Stephen Sherrill for District 2 Supervisor

The San Francisco League of Conservation Voters (SFLCV) endorses Stephen Sherrill for Supervisor in District 2. SFLCV endorsed Sherrill in the June 2026 Primary Election and appreciates his continued dedication to bringing housing, accessible transit, and environmental priorities to city governance. 

Sherrill is a strong supporter of public transit in San Francisco, including the November 2026 Stronger Muni for All (Proposition H) and Connect Bay Area (the Regional Transit Measure or RTM) transit funding measures, pedestrian infrastructure, and other transit-first improvements. We also appreciate his support for the Family Zoning Plan and his co-sponsorship of an Enhanced Infrastructure Financing District to facilitate 1,200 new housing units in development at 3333 and 3700 California Street. We disagree with his opposition to the proposed 25-story apartment complex at the Marina Safeway site and urge him to use his position and skill to navigate complex and controversial projects like this development. Finally, we are encouraged by Sherrill’s stance opposing the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission’s misguided approach to water consumption of the Tuolumne River, which involves using inflated projections to justify acquiring more water at the expense of the habitat and species occupying it. We agree that instead, focusing on smarter and more sustainable development that minimizes water use is the best path forward.
